1. Information we collect and why

• Family members: name, email (Google account), device information, purchase information
• Parents: alert text, phone status, and (optional) audio clips and automatic recordings
• Parent phone number and address, if a family member enters them (optional)

2. Information that stays on the phone

Everyday sound, everyday speech text, and the voiceprint are processed only on your parent’s phone and never sent to our servers.

3. Biometric information policy (voiceprint)

[Under legal review] Written consent and a public retention and destruction schedule as required by state laws such as Illinois BIPA. Voiceprints are deleted at the latest 3 years after last use, and right away on disconnect, consent withdrawal, or uninstall.

4. Consumer health data

[Under legal review] Whether laws such as Washington’s My Health My Data Act apply; a separate notice will be posted if so.

5. Retention

See the retention table (alert records 90 days, audio clips 30 days, and so on).

6. Sharing

Alert information is shared with the connected family members. We don’t sell or share personal information for advertising. Service providers: Amazon Web Services (hosting, US region), Google Firebase (sign-in, push notifications).

7. Your state privacy rights

This website uses one cookie (kg_lang) to remember your language choice. No analytics or advertising cookies.

kinguard is not directed to children under 13.

3. Storage location and transfers

Data is stored in an EU region. Transfers outside the EU happen only where needed (for example Firebase) with appropriate safeguards. Alert text is not included in push notification payloads.
